i've kind of learned the hard way that if you're art isn't really received somewhere you shouldn't bother submitting it?
i've slowly stopped uploading my art anywhere cause it doesn't garner much attention... therefore there really is no point in uploading it.
i'll use this account for favouriting things and commenting sometimes (when i remember to check in), but as for art in the future that's most likely a no

hey ya'll! or hey people who are still traversing this website lmao so i haven't posted here in years. nor have i posted online in years. the close to posting online i've done is frequently sharing my art on Snapchat (where I just film myself doing it or little updates) or uploading infrequently on Instagram. i stopped posting online on Tumblr years ago because i felt like my art gained no traction and honestly it upset me. i was (and i guess kinda still are) at a point in my life where i really depended on people liking my art. it's where i got a lot of validation, and when it waned so did my self esteem. i stopped posting on dA because a lot of my friends on here left for Tumblr but now i've left Tumblr (along with a lot of my friends LOL) so... i thought maybe i wanted to start posting again. i've done a lot of art over the years that wouldn't hurt to share. i figured i'd just keep this account still instead of starting fresh it would probably also help me in trying to start

I don't get much reception either. For each upload, I get, what, zero to 5 favs? But since I suck at marketing anyway, I actually stopped caring and instead started focusing on getting better and building a portfolio due to career requirements.
So why not focus on getting better? Watch tutorials (Proko, Sycra, Istebrak), read books (Gary Faigin, Burne Hogarth), practice and improve your art? Maybe have monthly stretch goals for mastery?
Sometimes it's not about whether or not something you make is well recieved. Sometimes it's about what you want to achieve.
